Belgian King Filip has had a moving meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky. For security reasons, only a handful of people were aware of the secret meeting.
Zelensky spoke to King Filip and Prime Minister Alexander De Croo for about an hour. The king seemed particularly impressed after the meeting.
King Filip spoke full of praise for the man who was willing to give his life to save his people. “Then when you see President Zelensky arriving here with his advisers, in combat clothes and wearing army boots: that immediately makes it very tangible. Everything that happens there, in Ukraine, suddenly comes very close. It is confrontational,” Belgian King Filip told reporters after the meeting.
