Former Dutch Queen Beatrix has a heart for animals. During a visit to the Dutch Caribbean, she visited a national park and there she made a striking revelation.
Princess Beatrix was allowed to feed the parrots and spoke candidly about her own parrot Lingo. Lingo sometimes dares to bite his owner when she feeds him, although it is also a hugely intelligent animal.
Lingo can say certain words and sings happy songs. Parrots have the intelligence of a 4-year-old child, Beatrix learns at Aruba’s ‘Parke Nacional Arikok’.
